On December 1, 2007, the Masonic Temple Association of Detroit and Olympia Entertainment reached an agreement for the Detroit based Olympia Entertainment to operate and manage the historic Masonic Temple in Detroit. They look forward to working together on developing the complex by booking more events; concerts, broadway, and family entertainment in the theatres and banquets, weddings, and other type of corporate and private events in the ballrooms and meeting spaces. Hollywood is beginning to use The Masonic for movies also.

Olympia Entertainment is owned by Detroit entrepreneurs Michael and Marian Ilitch. Long known for their investments in Detroit, the Ilitch's own Little Caesar Enterprises, Inc.; The Detroit Red Wings, and Olympia Development. Mr. Ilitch owns the Detroit Tigers and Mrs. Ilitch owns Motor City Casino Hotel.
